Manhattan Beach Photowalk: Long exposures on your iPhone

As longtime readers of the #SoCalPhotowalks blog know, we love getting out to Manhattan Beach early in the morning and snapping away.

This week we had fun testing out the new Long Exposure tool in IOS11, the latest update to Apple’s mobile operating system. These were all taken on the iPhone 8 Plus, handheld, without a tripod. The tool replicates putting a big DSLR on a tripod and letting the shutter stay open for minutes, as opposed to fractions of a second.
